Many people ask us who decides on how to do CPR and which sequence is best for survival. As an approved training company, we get our guidance in resuscitation from the Resuscitation Council UK. The 'Resus Council' are running the 'Defibruary' campaign
The resuscitation council have recently said that 66% of adults in the UK have never been trained in using a defibrillator. But the good news is, you don’t need training!
The Resuscitation council have recently posted that Public access defibrillators are designed to be used by the general public. When you switch the defibrillator on, it will provide clear instructions and talk you through what you need to do.
There's no reason to feel nervous about using a defibrillator - it will not harm the person suffering a cardiac arrest and will only give them a shock if and when it is needed.

P.S. If you're a guardian of a defibrillator or your organisation has one, make sure it's registered on The Circuit - to help more people access it in an emergency. Find out more at www.thecircuit.uk
